Clem is a reluctant actor these days, concentrating more on directing and dramaturgy. He recently directed plays for Emerge's 10X10min plays. His last main acting role for Emerge was in Carr's first major play, 'Batavia'. He is currently completing a PhD at The University of Queensland on how Shakespeare's drama can inform ethical alternatives to popular crime drama. His most recent appearence was at City Hall in the world premier reading of the English translation of 'Forget Hamlet' for the World Shakespeare Conference.
