Amanda first started out in children’s television in Canberra in the late 1970s.An accomplished singer, she has played lead roles in numerous musical productions including Half A Sixpence, The Pajama Game, Paint Your Wagon, Camelot, Iolanthe, Land of Smiles, Rodgers, Hart and ammerstein and Oh Wha t A Lovely War. Since moving to Brisbane Amanda has performed in Agatha Christie’s Murder On The Nile at the Cremorne Theatre, QPAC, Narnia for the Brisbane A rts Theatre, Two Weeks With The Queen for Nash Theatre, Brave New World Order at the Powerhouse, Brisbane, Sticky for the Brisbane Festival and La Bamba at La Boite Theatre. Amanda has had extensive vocal training, undertaken numerous short courses at NIDA and studied with the Improbable Theatre of the UK. She recently returned from Europe - in the UK she was teaching and working with the Barbican Theatre and the Theatre Royal in Plymouth. In demand as a voiceover artist and soloist, she will soon be seen in the short film Deadline which has been chosen for preselection at Cannes.
